The Drum is an integral part of cultures across the globe. Its heartbeat provides rhythm in ceremonies and carries our songs and prayers to our Creator. It can bless and cleanse one's energy, open the doorway to non-ordinary reality as we journey, and be a great tool for stress relief. The tradition of the drum is also a way of bringing communities together. From the earliest times, honoring animals for giving their lives to feed and cloth the people was to utilize the entire animal. In making hide drums, we honor the animals and invite their medicine or spirit to walk with the drum to guide us in remembering we are all related, and help us walk in a good way upon our Mother Earth.
